Employees of the Gzhel State University (GSU), the oldest university for training specialists for folk arts and crafts, sent an appeal to President Vladimir Putin to the editorial office of Rucriminal.info. In it, professors, doctors and candidates of sciences, honored artists ask the head of state to protect them from AFK System, its owner Vladimir Yevtushenkov and his "right hand" MM Sokolov. They are trying to take over the university, things have already come to threats. They want to reduce the unique educational institution to the production subsidiary of AFK Sistema. It got to the point that they tried to force the GSU to transfer to Yevtushenkov's structures the right to fulfill the order of the presidential administration for the production of gift sets.

“A large team of employees and students of Gzhel State University is addressing you. GSU is one of the oldest educational institutions in Russia for the training of specialists for folk arts and crafts. In this unique university, located in the Ramenskoye urban district of the Moscow region, multi-level education is carried out: higher (bachelor's, specialty, master's, postgraduate studies), secondary vocational and additional education. The structure of GSU includes a college and nine art schools, where children from 6 to 14 years old study. The university has opened one representative office in Russia (Sochi), as well as two representative offices abroad (Prague, Florence).
For more than 120 years of history, the university has trained famous artists, masters of folk arts and crafts and specialists in various fields. Today, more than 5,000 students from 18 countries study at the university. The number of students, including foreign ones, is increasing every year. The university has become a world cultural, scientific and educational center. Systematic work is being carried out on the moral and patriotic education of the younger generation - not only students, but also pupils of schools in the Moscow region. A unique museum of arts and crafts has been created, which is constantly visited by groups of tourists.
The university is equipped with a rich production base that allows students and mature artists, teachers, to create masterpieces of art - innovative projects of artistic ceramics that are in demand on the market, many of which have received patents for industrial designs.
In 2020, GSU for the first time successfully completed the order of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation for the production of gift sets for the New Year, while the works received the status of products of folk art crafts.
Gzhel State University is under threat! For more than three years (from May 03, 2018) there is no rector at the university (management is carried out by acting and temporary acting duties). The university staff is deprived of the opportunity to exercise their right to elect a rector, guaranteed by the Charter of the educational institution.
A year ago, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor D.S.Somov was appointed Acting Rector.
The team expresses gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for strengthening the university with professional management personnel. The psychological atmosphere at the university has improved, a working environment has been created. The university is developing dynamically and occupies high positions in various areas. Social stability is maintained: salaries are paid on time and the May decrees of the President of the Russian Federation are fully implemented.
Oligarchic structures such as AFK Sistema drew attention to the Ramensky urban district, where the GSU is located. Under the guise of developing the region, they are working to monopolize and destroy small businesses. At the same time, they believe that they have the right to manage everything, including federal budgetary structures - education and culture.
AFK Sistema decided to subordinate Gzhel State University, a federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education, for its commercial purposes. By means of public threats, representatives of this commercial organization demanded that the order of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation be abandoned, given to subsidiaries of AFK Sistema;
After the received refusal, they switched from threats to direct actions: the leadership of AFK Sistema in the person of V.P. Yevtushenkov and his “right hand” MM Sokolov (he positions himself this way) began to put pressure on the local authorities, as well as on the leadership The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, demanding to replace the acting head of Gzhel State University with their puppet figure. Gzhel State University "declared war"!
Any rector or and. about. the rector, if he does not fulfill the requirements of M. M. Sokolov, becomes objectionable, and he is informed about his imminent change. In such conditions, the staff of GSU one hundred It’s getting harder and harder to work. Now, according to the public statements of M. M. Sokolov, the university will cease its work as an independent unit and turn into a branch of any university fully controlled by AFK Sistema.
The GSU team, which employs doctors and candidates of sciences, professors and associate professors, honored artists, understands very well what will follow: the rejection of "non-core assets", the destruction of all areas not related to the entrepreneurial activities of AFK "Sistema", the reorganization of a unique educational establishments, layoffs and job losses. It is very difficult to find a decently paid job in our region.
The Academic Council of the University appealed to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia with a petition to call the election of the rector, while a response to the appeal has not been received. We ask you very much: do not allow to destroy the unique university - the heritage of Russia! On the eve of a single voting day, we ask you to support the staff of Gzhel State University and assist in announcing the election of the rector. We want to exercise our right to choose a worthy leader! "
