"Brotherhood" undividedly dictated the terms to the president and head coach of "Spartak". The tentacles of the people of crime turned out to be a "dead grip". They could have easily killed Romantsev himself ... Well-known sports journalist, writer Alexei Matveev - especially for the telegram channel of the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info

SILENCE PAYMENT?

Well, like this, in hindsight, like Yartsev, to argue. And for many years, as if to get water in your mouth. No interviews, no comments. Nothing at all from the honored coach of Russia, who to some extent personified Spartak. It was necessary to sound the alarm exactly then, and not many years later. It was possible to try to change the situation, drive out the mafiosi from the club, supposedly native to Georgy Alexandrovich.

He offered him, as Romantsev once did: reveal the secrets, let's publish, do something. Let's raise the football community, maybe the powers that be will help with something. No, the famous coach was silent, like a conspirator. As if a journalist needs more than others, the players themselves, the coaches, who consider themselves Spartacists, do not care about anything and everything. "Go with the flow."

I think the reason for the silence of the same Yartsev is on the surface. After all, he was, one might say, at the epicenter of large-scale negativity, when Spartak money flowed in a full-flowing stream abroad to the personal accounts of villains.

Georgy Aleksandrovich left the red and white club in 1998. By that time, the mafiosi, who had “registered” in Spartak, had eliminated Larisa Nechaeva, who prevented them from stealing. Plus, again, money (millions of funds!) Was "shoved" over the cordon. The same hard-earned money that the players themselves earned, first of all, by a good game in the domestic championship, on the European arena.

It is impossible to imagine that George in such a situation remained a kind of altruist. Surely he got something from the millionaires who were manipulated by the people of crime. After all, they have settled in the team since the early 90s. Therefore, the lamentations of Yartsev seem mostly hypocrisy.

Here, however, are the belated "revelations" of George.

- The final and deep fall began, in my opinion, when Romantsev began to lose a loyal, literate guard who had his own opinion, - recalls Yartsev. - I could still understand some of the decisions of the club management, if the guys released from Spartak ended their careers. But then for a long time they brought tangible benefits to other clubs, often becoming genuine, bright leaders there!

Of course, when CEOs, presidents, coaches themselves changed in Spartak, as if in a kaleidoscope, a lot went wrong. What can I say now… If Romantsev continued to lead the club, we would definitely not go off the right path. And the same rotation of mentors would occur according to the mind. And not from the bay-floundering. It is incomprehensible to me where Skala, Chernyshov, Yuran, and then Starkov came from in this role.

"BROTHERS" ROMANTSEV

The 90s became an extremely difficult era in football, and this was reflected in the fate of my native team, - complains Georgy Alexandrovich. - The tax scandal, the murder of Larisa Nechaeva ... To be honest, I can’t evaluate many moments. The end of Larissa? So far, nothing is clear to me.

- Romantsev was losing his empire, this is his club. And after the “great upheavals”, all kinds of upheavals, we all lost, maybe a great, even a genius coach. The loss is not only for Spartak, but for domestic football in general. Apparently, the situation depressed Oleg Ivanovich to such an extent that he simply did not want to work anymore. Although he knows and loves his profession.

Probably, there is also the fault of Romantsev himself. But what is it, to what extent, share? Maybe he trusted the environment too much?

Listen to Yartsev, what, after all, a tragic story happened to his friend, comrade-in-arms! What a pity to lose the "truly great" coach of our time. But for some reason I don't sympathize. Probably, I "froze" myself, having plunged too deeply into the maelstrom of Spartak intrigues, theft, murder, etc.

Not the last violin in the "well-coordinated" orchestra or "ensemble" was played by the president and part-time head coach Romantsev. I only regret that the people guilty of monstrous fraud with club money have not suffered the slightest punishment so far. Well, at least I discredit them in the eyes of numerous fans, and that, as they say, is bread.

... Now - attention. Another confirmation of my conclusions was the following revelation of Georgy Alexandrovich. It turned out that Oleg Romantsev and Andrey Chervichenko had (most likely, they still have) their “brothers”. Of course, armed to the teeth. That is, in the battle for power in the "people's" team, all sorts of methods were quite applicable.

- This, after all, is Spartak, you can’t arrange a massacre! Therefore, Oleg Ivanovich prudently decided to leave the team, - Yartsev used to say to me.

A remark that opens your eyes to many things. A very thoughtful remark. See how many years you have to keep a secret in order to finally declassify it. True, only the name remained from Spartak of that period.

In general, bravo, George A lexandrovich! The people will not forget your titanic efforts. If you draw a line under the story, the conclusion is obvious. What is Spartak, what is Russian football in general. After all, they judge by the best, or rather, the worst samples ...
